Problem Description
ACI 318-14 18.7.6 (or analogous provision in earlier versions of ACI 318 requires gravity concrete columns classified as Seismic Category D (or worse) to be designed for a shear force associated with the probable flexural strength (Mpr). This is not currently accounted for in the design of the column. This can result in an unconservative column design.
Solution
We are working on a fix for this issue.
