Problem Description
After installing version 12.00.01.40 on top of the prior version, 12.00.00.31 various problems can occur. Most notably, the link to launch Ram Connection from Ram Manager (version 15.09.00.13) is disabled.
Reason
Two dll files are of a smaller version number in v12.00.01.40 than in the prior release and thus these dlls do not get overwritten with the 12.00.01.40 installer. The files are
- Bentley.Str.PanelLoad.dll
- Bentley.Str.YieldingLines.dll
Typically installed to the folder:
- C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Connection
Solution
Uninstall the program from the Control Panel (all versions) and reinstall the program using the full download from Software Downloads.
Deleting the files noted above and reinstalling v12.00.01.40 should also work.
