What is Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM)?
Bentley’s Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) allows structural engineers and designers to share structural engineering project information among modeling, analysis, design, drafting, and detailing software applications.

Using ISM in Engineering Workflows
ISM facilitates interoperability across engineering teams and design disciplines, allowing designers to choose the products best suited for a particular project. With ISM-based workflows engineers can exchange data, synchronize revisions, track progress, compare alternatives, and publish deliverables. Below are some common workflows for which ISM is employed.

Latest News
The ISM 6.0 family of products was released January 2017 and is the most recent version of the ISM technology. This release consists of the following products and apps:
- Structural Synchronizer CONNECT Edition Update 1 (known more generally as ISM 6.0, now with support for piping systems)
- Structural Navigator CONNECT Edition Update 1(the mobile review app now with support for Android)
- ISM Revit Plugin CONNECT Edition (now with support for Revit 2017)
Tekla users are encouraged to obtain the latest Tekla ISM plugin from the Trimble Solutions - Tekla Warehouse. Phase 2 of the link is compatible with Structural Synchronizer CONNECT Edition and Tekla Structures 2016.
