Problem Description

Installing Ram Elements v8i Spanish version gives error “Update could not be installed over this version. Please install RAM elements 13.0” .

If we go to Control panel\Programs and feature -> we can see that RAM elements V8i 13.00.00.22 is already installed

According to Software Fulfillment site we need to download re13.00.0022 and dependencies re13.00.00.22

When saving RAM elements v8i(Spanish) x86 you can see executable as re13.02.00.99es.exe

When saving RAM elements v8i(Multilanguage)x86 you can see executable as re13.00.00.22en.exe

So in this case the dependencies RAM elements v8i 13.00.00.22 was already installed but the English version instead of the Spanish, what causes the error message.

How to solve

Uninstall re13.00.00.22en.exe and reinstall it again but during installation you will see a dialog that allows you to select a different language in order to install the Spanish dependencies

Once installed Run RAM elements verify that programs work correctly and check if license is also activate or gives any error message.

Make sure you have the proper Bentley IEG license, some 64 bit machines have problems to install any msi due to bad windows update. Related Communities wiki:

Once the Spanish dependencies are installed you can start installation of RAM elements v8i (Spanish) x86 (executable re13.02.00.99.es.exe).
