Defect Description
Importing certain models imported into Revit Structure 2014 sometimes causes an "Analytical Edge can't have a zero length error." when the Revit Structure 2014 model is regenerating after the import is finished. This causes the model creation to fail.
Steps to Reproduce
The error is inconsistent from model to model and is hard to reproduce with other models.
Workaround
Method 1
The repository can successfully be imported into Revit if the floor surface members are rejected in Structural Synchronizer before importing the repository into Revit Structure.
Follow these steps to reject the floor surface members.
- Use the New From Repository command (or update command for existing models) as normal in Revit.
- When the repository opens in Structural Synchronizer sort the list so you can see all of the floor Surface Members in the table.
- Pick the check box of the first surface member and while holding the Control key select the last surface member in the list.
- Click the Reject button below the table.
- Review the list and also reject any table decks that appear in the list.
- Update the Revit model
Method 2
You can also import the repository in an earlier version of Revit Structure (2012, 2013.) then open it in Revit 2014.
