Error or Warning Message
When I try to open RAM Elements the following error message appears:
"HWLockDLL.dll internal error. Unable to get license."
I did try re-installing RAM Elements, and the issue still popped up
Explanation
A library file HWLockDLL.dll is present in the machine which is no longer being used.
Solution
Please uninstall the existing installed version of Bentley IEG Licensing Service and install the latest installer which can be downloaded from the following link. You need to go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features or Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the existing version of Bentley IEG Licensing Service.
ftp://ftp.bentley.com/pub/outgoing/iegls02002001en.msi
If the problem persists, delete the HWLockDLL.dll file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Bentley\Engineering\RamHWLock and then reinstall/repair RAM Elements.
