I have updated to the latest version of STAAD Pro Connect Edition. When I open a file, I get an error message regarding missing the steel sections.
Solution
This occurs when the database file (in this case BritishSections.db3) is missing from the Sections folder
\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition\Sections .It is possible that when you have updated STAAD.Pro, the section files were not installed.
To resolve this, you can copy the .db file from your colleague’s machine who is using the same version of STAAD.Pro or you can create a service request.
Note: To avoid this, while installing, right-click on the installer and select the option “Run as administrator” (though you may be logged in as the administrator).
