Error or Warning Message
STAAD.foundation encounters the following error when opening:
"SELECT license type is not configured yet. Please run SELECT License Assistant to configure it."
The error occurs regardless of whether the SELECTserver license settings are entered.
Explanation
STAAD.foundation must modify a configuration file in its program directory the first time it is executed to modify a license-related setting. However, the program is unable to modify the file when running as a normal user.
How to Avoid
Run STAAD.foundation as an administrator once. This permits the program to modify a file in the STAAD.foundation folder. Afterwards, the program will run as a user without the error.
