STAAD(X) Tower V8i (SELECTseries 2) includes the following new and updated features:
General Program Features
- Second order analysis can now be used. Select this option from the Analysis > Whole Model properties.
- Feed Line clusters can now be added to tower structures.
- Ladders can now be added to tower structures.
- Lattice structure platforms can also be added to self-supporting and guyed tower structures.
- New selection tools for new model entities
- A Split Physical Members tool has been added to specify splices in physical members (such as tower legs).
- A Plan Bracing Wizard has been added to create custom plan bracing patterns for reuse.
- A Steel Cable Explorer catalog is available for managing cable profiles in your model.
- TIA-222-F wind load calculations and revised TIA-222-G calculations (also included TIA-222-G addendums 1 and 2). Corrected wind speed per TIA-222-F for all counties in US and also allow the user to modify the wind speed if needed. Service wind speed is also included for both standards
- Revised Report tables and also provide more information in to the tables.
Monopole
- Tapered Monopoles are now available, including using round extensions.
- Round or tapered sections can be specified in either the Monopole wizard or using the Pole Sections table.
- Tapered monopole section lap splices are checked and can be edited.
Self-Supporting tower
- Straight panel sections can now be parametrically defined.
- Panels can now be edited using the Panels table in addition to the individual panel properties.
