Problem Description

Red model status light is shown for Ram Frame - Load Combinations mode.

Reason

There are 3 different sets of load combinations in RAM Frame Analysis - Load Combination mode:

  • Custom Combinations
  • Strength Combinations
  • Service Combinations

The custom combinations are intended to be used reporting results for load combinations and useful for all models. This is useful where you want to see combined reactions or deflections for example. It's also useful to get combination results for models that are not steel structures. Note, the combinations defined here are only used in this mode and not shared with Ram Frame - Steel Design, Ram Foundation or any other module.

The strength and service combinations are only used for the Advanced Analysis (slender wall analysis for the tilt-up wall workflow) added in Version 17. If you have defined strength and service load combinations, the red status light will be displayed until you run the Advanced Analysis (Process - Advanced Analysis).

Steps to Resolve

If you are not designing tilt-up walls, you should only define custom combinations. When doing so, you should see the status light turn green if those combinations are checked to be used.
