Can we import grids (as dxf file) into the STAAD.Pro Physical Modeler ?
As of now there is no direct option to import grids ( as dxf files) into the STAAD.Pro Physical Modeler (SPPM) but you may follow the steps listed below to do the same.
Import the dxf file into the STAAD.Pro Analytical Modeler
Create an ISM file (ism.dgn) from within the Analytical Modeler
Create a new model in the Physical Modeler
Import the ism file into the Physical Modeler
The workflow is explained in more detail in the attached pdf. The following models are also attached
Structure1.STD ( Analytical STAAD.Pro model created by importing a dxf file )
Structure2_Physical.STDP - STAAD.Pro Physical Model
Structure2_Physical.STD - Analytical model corresponding to the Physical Model
STRUCTURE1.ism.dgn - ISM file generated from the Analytical Modeler and later inported into SPPM
