Structural Enterprise Hub can be downloaded at the link here, or from Bentley Cloud Services. After signing into the CONNECTION Center, select Software Downloads under My Support. Once on the Software Fulfillment page, the installer can be located by performing a search on “Structural Enterprise Hub”.
For existing users, getting this update is even easier. Structural Enterprise Hub update is presented within Structural Enterprise itself:
Subscription Entitlement Service (SES)
This product version utilizes Subscription Entitlement Service, which is not supported by SELECT activation key(s). SES is a free service, featuring new behavior to enhance your organization’s user administration and security with mandatory user sign-in via CONNECTION Client to access the application. If you are already signed in to the CONNECTION Client, you have met this prerequisite. If you have not, please refer to the Administrator's Resource Center and/or contact your administrator for assistance in the registration and sign-in process.
New Features
This release contains the below enhancements.
Addition of RCDC as a standalone product
In previous release, users relied on RCDC as supplied by STAAD.Pro. In this update, we have added ability to install, update and run RCDC Connect Edition directly from Structural Enterprise Hub
Limcon Deprecation - RAM Connection replacement
Limcon is a deprecated product, when attempting to launch this from within Structural Enterprise Hub, users are alerted of its SES limitations and encouraged to get and use RAM Connection instead.
Handling RAM Concept V7 and V8
For some of our products, it is possible to have both generations side by side (RAM Concept V7 and V8 is one such example). Generally speaking, we encourage users to use the latest version of the latest generation for all our products. To that end, when RAM Concept V7 is launched within Structural Enterprise Hub on a machine where V8 is not installed, user would be prompted to install RAM Concept V8. Once installed, the RAM Concept "Launch" button within Structural Enterprise Hub would launch RAM Concept V8.
Bug Fixes
This release of Structural Enterprise Hub includes the fixes described below.
- Fixed icon for RAM SBeam.
- Fixed failure to launch products defect due to corrupt settings file.
