What are the basic steps for activating a CONNECT Licensed Product like RAM Structural System v16?
RAM Structural System version 16.00 uses CONNECT licensing and this is different than prior version with SELECT Licensing. We have written a Guide to help in understanding CONNECT Licensing. You must be signed into Communities to download it.
There are a few basic steps to activate the product and these steps can help in understanding any problems that might occur:
- Make sure the CONNECTION Client is installed and running, and that you are signed in
- If you can open Ram Manager go to Tools - Manage Licenses to launch the Bentley Licensing Tool (you can also launch the tool from the Windows Start menu)
- Confirm that your sign in is recognized there in the upper left corner
- If the Ram Products are not listed under Entitlements go through Tools - Refresh policy
- Tom complete the activation use Tools - Activation Wizard.
