Problem Description
After converting a model from the prior version, wall geometry can become corrupted. Symptoms include errors in the Data Check, a default zoom factor that is very distant (the plan is tiny), errors running the framing tables, or errors viewing the 3D view.
In some cases, models that are new in v15.11 can also experience the problem after saving.
Reason
The RAMDBIO.dll files installed with version 15.11 were faulty.
Solution
The problem is fixed with version 16.00.00.28 released December 2018.
Alternatively download replacement files here: Download RAM SS 15.11 Replacement RAMDBIO.dll files
Extract the files to some location on the hard drive. Then find the ReplaceFiles.bat in the RamDBIOdll-v1511 sub folder, right click on it and choose "Run as administrator"
Alternatively, manually replace RAMDBIO.dll in various locations noted below:
(x64) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley\Engineering\RAMDataAccess_2_0
(x64) C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Structural System\Prog
(x86) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley\Engineering\RAMDataAccess_2_0\x86
(x86) C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Structural System\Prog\x86
(x86) C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Structural System\Prog\RamSSConverter
Note, you may need admin rights to replace these files
Finally, re-convert using the backup file. Locate the file directory. Look for a file of the same name in the format FileName_Orig_15_9.zip. Change the file extension to .rss , e.g. FileName2.rss, and then reopen that file in Ram Manager.
Important Note
If the replacement files are used, then Ram Structural System v15.11 must be uninstalled prior to installing version 16. Otherwise the RamDbio.dll files will not be properly updated and the an error will occur trying to start version 16, "The code execution cannot proceed because RAMDBIO.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."
