I am trying to copy data from the tables in the STAAD.Pro post processing mode to an Excel sheet but keep getting the "Range too big" message. How can I get around the problem ?

The message comes up when the volume of data being copied is too large for the process to handle. A workaround is to copy the data in installments. Filter the data in the tables based on node numbers or beams numbers or plate numbers as appropriate, to reduce the amount of data to be copied in one shot. With the mouse cursor on the table, right click and choose Results Setup > Range to set such filters. Once the data is filtered, copy it and paste the data into Excel. Subsequently change the filter using the same Results Setup dialog box to get the data for the next set of entities to copy. Repeat the process till all of the data is copied.
