Problem Description
Design of angles and Tees fail as per the AISC code when seismic provisions of AISC 341 are checked. With SEI set to 1, error messages like the ones below are obtained for angles and tee sections
ERROR: MEMBER DESIGN FAILED FOR MEMBER 378
ERROR: MEMBER DESIGN FAILED FOR MEMBER 379
.
Steps to Reproduce
- Run analysis on a model with angles and Tees.
- Use SEI 1 ALL in the design which would make the software check the seismic provisions of 341-05/10
- Note the errors in the design output
Workaround
There is currently no workaround other than commenting out the seismic checks for these sections.
Solution
This issue was released in version 20.07.11.47
