I see the following license types in STAAD Foundation Advanced Connect Edition. Can you please explain what modules can I use with each ?

If you have the license type 1, you can use all the modules that STAAD Foundation Advanced offers.

If you have license types 2 OR 3, you will only be able to use the 3 modules marked with a green check in the table below

Couple of related questions and their answers are presented below

Question:

I do not have a license for STAAD Foundation Advanced. Should I use license type 2 or license type 3?

Answer:

It depends upon what STAAD.Pro license you have purchased. If you have purchased license for STAAD.Pro, you will choose type 2 and if you have purchased license for STAAD.Pro Advanced, you will choose 3. In each case you would have access to a limited set of foundation design capabilities as outlined above.

If you have purchased only license type 2 (meaning, you do not have license types 1 or 3) and by mistake you select license types 1 or 3, you will be presented with a product activation screen, and eventually, you will find out that since you have not purchased these, you cannot activate these license types.

A similar scenario will occur if you have purchased only license type 3. If by mistake you select license types 1 or 2, you will be presented with a product activation screen, and that process will fail subsequently.

Question:

I do not have a license for SFA. However, I would like to analyze a mat foundation. Is it possible to do that without a SFA license?

Answer:

Unfortunately No. If you start SFA using license types 2 or 3, and attempt to access a feature like mat foundation that requires license type 1, you will encounter the following message.
