 Applies To
 Product:Ram Concept
First Affected Version:6.04.00.06
 Found in Version:6.04.00.06
Released in Version:-
Environment:Windows 7 x64
 Area: File; Installation
 Issue #:796452

Problem Description

In Ram Concept version 06.04.00.006 x64, on certain Dell PCs typically running Windows 7 x64, an error, "Concept for Windows has stopped working," can occur when attempting to open a file using the File - Open menu or folder icon. A similar error can occur when trying to save a file that is opened through a browser or direct link.

Reason

As described in this thread, Dell’s Backup and Recovery software, version 1.8.1.71, will crash any 64-bit Qt5 application whenever a file dialog is opened.

Solution

Upgrading DBaR to version 1.9.2.8 or later should fix the issue. Alternatively, if it's not being used, Dell's Backup and Recovery system can be uninstalled.
