How to perform a clean installation of STAAD.Pro Connect Edition version?
These steps should be followed to completely uninstall STAAD.Pro Connect Edition version from the machine and the install a fresh copy –
- Close all STAAD.Pro applications. If there is any STAAD.Pro models saved in any of the location mentioned under point 5, then copy the file and save it in any other local drive.
- Go to Control panel > Programs and Features.
- Uninstall the following software –
- STAAD.Pro Connect Edition -x64
- Bentley SPC Server v8i SS4
- Bentley Structure Property Catalog v8i SS4 (if there is multiple files, install all of them)
- Open the registry editor (go to Run > Regedit) and search for any registry files related to STAAD.Pro and delete all of them.
- Go to the following locations and check whether a folder named “STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition” exists or not. If the folder exists, delete the folder.
- C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering
- C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\Engineering
- C:\Users\Public\Documents
- C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering
- C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering
- Save the installer file in a local drive, right click on the installer and select the option “Run as Administrator”
- Complete the installation and select proper license type.
Note: There are several free software available (for example, Revo Uninstaller) which can uninstall the software, delete leftover files and delete the related registry files (perform step 3 and 4). If these software is used to uninstall STAAD.Pro CE, step 5 should be performed to ensure that there is no leftover files present in these locations.
