Explanation
While importing an ISM repository into Revit you might get the following error while the Revit model is regenerating. “Revit has experienced an unexpected error. The operation has been cancelled to protect your project from corruption" (Deleted element ) : id = xxxxxxx”
What happens?
This error happens after the ISM import into Revit is completely finished and Revit is regenerating the imported model. This is caused by a defect in Revit and cannot be avoided in the ISM plugin. The only way to avoid the error is by trying different mappings for structural elements or preventing a particular class of element from importing.
Try mapping a different wall type
Possibly changing material types
Preventing slabs or decks from importing
This can only be resolved by experimentation. There is no specific error message that defines what element is causing the error.
