New Features in v12.5

RAM Elements v12.5 is now available for download from Software Downloads (SELECT login required).

TMS 402-08/ACI 530-08/ASCE 5-08: Building Code Requirements and Specification for Masonry Structures, including ASD, SD and Seismic Requirements.

TMS 402-11/ACI 530-11/ASCE 5-11: Building Code Requirements and Specification for Masonry Structures with the Allowable Stress Design method.

Wall Modules Integration with RAM Elements: This version of RAM Elements stores the designs from any wall module with the ETZ file/model, making it easy to keep track of the wall designs being done for a project.

Footing Module Integration with RAM Elements: This version of RAM Elements stores the designs from the footing modules with the ETZ file/model, making it easy to keep track of the wall designs being done for a project.

New Story Drift report: Story/level drifts are now presented in a neatly organized report.

AISC 360-10: Specification for Structural Steel Buildings is now included in RAM Elements.

AISC 340-10: The Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings are also included in this release.

Brazilian Steel Sections: Support for hot-rolled and cold-formed steel profiles from Brazil, has been added to the sections database.

Better, More Comprehensive Segmentation: The physical shell meshing into finite element shells is now more powerful. Nodes in the interior of a shell are now detected and properly included in the segmentation. Intersections between shells or between shells and members are now captured in the FE mesh for accurate analysis.

AISC Design Guide 25: Tapered member analysis and design improvements are provided in this version. A new state-of-the-art tapered finite element with exact stiffness is used for the analysis of I-shaped web tapered members. The design is based on the AISC/MBMA Design Guide 25 for the design of web-tapered members recently published. An excellent tool for metal building designers.
