Issue #: | 702900 |
Problem Description
One can save the time history of displacements in a text file from within Postprocessing -> Dynamics-> Time-Disp page, by right clicking on the plot and choosing the option “Save data in a text file“. In that report the displacements reported for a particular time step is that for a subsequent time step. In other words, the results displacement reported at time 0.0 is actually the displacement for time DT.
Workaround
One can get the time history of displacements plotted in a TIM file by using the SAVE option as part of the time history load definition. That reports the correct displacement values against the time steps. So one can use that file to get the time history for the displacements. The TIM file is a text file and is saved in the same folder as the STAAS.Pro model and can be opened using any text editor like Notepad or Wordpad
Solution
The issue will be addressed in STAAD.Pro CE release expected around July of 2017
