Problem Description
When using Ram Manager x64 ISM workflows, Create or Update Repository any of the following unexpected behaviors will occur:
- Unexpected warning message creating ISM repository
- An error occurred during the export of a deck (Error message: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: key)
- Exporting beam or wall rebar does not work, even though the option to include reinforcement is on.
- Updating a repository incorrectly deletes everything and adds new objects rather than modifying them.
Reason
Corruption of the registry keys used after multiple installations.
Solution
The issue can be resolved by using the 32 bit version of Ram Structural System.
Alternatively, the following process can restore the correct behavior with 64 bit installations.
- Uninstall all version of Ram Structural System including any Thumbnail Previewers
- Install RegScanner (free from NirSoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/regscanner.html
- Run RegScanner and search for all keys referencing "ramdatabaseaccess"
- Use File - Create Delete .reg file to create a new reg file that can be used to purge all the RamDataBaseAccess registry keys
- Run that file to clear the registry.
- Reinstall RAM Structural System x64
- Confirm that the original problems are corrected with a new repository.
