Problem Description
In some connections, a warning is produced stating,
[Warning] "Plate strength must be less than the HSS wall strength (Ref. AISC 360-05 Section K1.5).
This should not be reported due to the note in that AISC section which states, "For bracing connections to HSS columns, where a load is applied by a longitudinal plate at an angle to the HSS axis, the connection design will be governed by the force component perpendicular to the HSS axis (see Section K1.4b)." In other words, the limit state for K1.4b (which is checked) would occur before the limit state in K1.5. If Section K1.4b is checked, then the check in Section K1.5 does not need to be applied.
Reason
Affects all implementations.
Solution
The warning is removed in version 11.00.01.208 and after.
