Problem Description
Design for Tee Sections as per AISC 360-05/10 for which critical condition is H2-1 is not correct as software is not considering the correct section modulus..
Steps to Reproduce
- Analyze and design a model with Tee section for which H2-1 is governing criteria.
- In the analysis file, note that the allowable bending stress uses the incorrect section modulus.
.
Workaround
None
Solution
This has been addressed in 20.07.11.70.
The AISC 360-10/05 steel design routines have been updated to correct the calculation of stress for bending about the local Z axis of Tee sections.
