Problem Description
When launching RAM Foundation, all or one of the following errors are displayed and the module will not open.
Reason
There is problem with the RAM Foundation defaults stored on the machine on which the model was created.
How to Avoid
Reset the RAM Foundation defaults from RAM Manager - Tools - RAM Defaults Utility. This will need to be done on each machine affected. Note that the RamIS.ini file contains the stored defaults and can be copied from computer to computer after the RAM Foundation defaults are reset. See the following link for more information:
Steps to Resolve
Please contact technical support via the forums or SELECTsupport for assistance in repairing existing models.
If the foundation module simply crashes (with an MFC application error) verify that the foundation layout is appropriate. there should not be any single column foundations (pile caps or spread footings) modeled under column pilasters at wall end point unless there is also a continuous foundation under that wall for example.
Also check that the analysis results (e.g. from Ram Frame) are giving reasonable results for the member reactions.
