I designed my structure as per the AISC UNFIED 2005 code in version 20.07.09.21 and when I am re-analyzing the same file in a more recent version 20.07.11.45, I am observing that the design ratios have changed a bit. Why is it so ?

The difference is most likely due to the fact that versions like 20.07.09.21 was using an older version of the design dll for the AISC 360-05 code. That was replaced by a different and a more updated design dll in recent versions like 20.07.11.45 as a result of which values may be slightly different. Even in the newer version, you can invoke the older dll by adding the word OLD at the end of the design command as shown next and get the same results as you did in 20.07.09.21.

To invoke the older design DLL in recent versions, use

PARAMETER 1

CODE AISC UNIFIED 2005 OLD

We always recommend using the latest version of the software as it contains all the fixes and updates.
