This article provides step-by-step instructions for successfully installing STAAD.Pro and its dependencies.

Steps to Accomplish

Prior to starting, please confirm that the following three programs have been downloaded.

If you have ordered a CD, the following files must have been provided on a DVD

If one or both programs are not present, please refer to Software Downloads Instructions for further assistance.

Proceed through the following steps to install STAAD.Pro and its dependencies. We will start with the dependencies. Please note that the “dependencies” are more “optional components.” STAAD.Pro will run without installing these. 

1. Right-click on ssync08111146en.exe, and select the option “Run as administrator”. In case, this option is not available with your credentials, please check with your IT professional.

       2. Click the Install button on the following screen.

3.  Click Next on the following screen.

4. Place a check in the checkbox, and then click the next button to proceed.

5. Click the Typical button on the following screen.

6. Click the Install button to begin the installation of Structural Synchronizer.

7. Once the installation is complete, click the Finish button to exit the Structural Synchronizer installer.

1. Right-click on bdb08111115en.exe, and select the option “Run as administrator”. 
2. Click Next on the following screen.

3. In the next screen, you will be notified about the default destination of the executable file. If you want to change the location, click on the “Change” button. Otherwise, click Next on the following screen to proceed .

4. Click Next on the following screen.

5. Place a check in the checkbox, and then click the next button to Proceed.

6. The following dialog box gives the default location where the program is being installed. If you want to install the program in a different drive/location, click on ‘Change”. Click Next on the following screen to proceed.

7. Click Install on the following screen.

8. Once the installation is complete, click the Finish button to exit Bentley Dashboard installer.

1. Right-click on stpst20071064en.exe, the installer for STAAD.Pro and select the option “Run as administrator” to start the installation process.

2. Click the Install button on the opening screen. Please uncheck the box “Install companion products StrucLink & PipeLink” if you are not planning to use these modules.

3. You will get a dialog box stating that the prerequisites are being installed.

4. Click on the next button to proceed.

5. Select the first radio button to accept the license agreement, and click the Next button to proceed.

6. The following screen provides the installation location for files. This can be left at the default value. Click the Next button to proceed.

7. Enter your SELECTserver license settings. Please note that the fields may be populated already. If licensing information is not currently available, they can be left blank. Optionally, enter a Default Email address for use in STAAD.Pro. This field can be left blank too. Click the Next button to proceed.

8. Enter a user name and organization. These values will appear on reports generated by STAAD.Pro. The installation option at the bottom can be left at the default value. Click the Next button to proceed.

9. Select the appropriate unit system for your work on the following screen.

10. Click the Install button to begin the installation of STAAD.Pro.

11. Click the Finish button.

12. STAAD.Pro is bundled with STAAD.foundation 5.3. So if this component is not already present, an installer for STAAD.foundation will open. Please note that STAAD Foundation Advanced is a separate product. Click Next on the opening screen to proceed.

13. Select the first radio button to accept the license agreement, and click the Next button to proceed.

14. The following screen provides the installation location for files. This can be left at the default value. Click the Next button to proceed.

15. Enter your SELECTserver license settings. Please note that the fields may be populated already. If license settings were entered during the STAAD.Pro installation, the fields can be left blank. Optionally, enter a Default Email address for use in STAAD.Pro. This field can be left blank. Click the Next button to proceed.

16. Enter a user name and organization. These values will appear on reports generated by STAAD.foundation. The installation option at the bottom can be left at the default value. Click the Next button to Proceed.

17. Click the Install button to begin the installation of STAAD.foundation 5.3.

18. Click the Finish button.

19. Finally, click the Close button to exit the main installer.
