 Product(s):RAM SBeam
 Version(s):5.0
 Environment: Windows 8 and later
 Area: Designing
Original Author:Payel Sasmal, Bentley Technical Support Group

Problem Description

I am running RAM SBeam in a Windows 8.1 machine; the program crashes while designing.

Explanation

RAM SBeam requires  Microsoft .NET 3.5 Framework installed in the machine to run the software properly. Though.NET Framework 4.5 is enabled by default in Windows 8, it does not include .NET 3.5 by default.  The files for .NET 3.5 are available on the Windows 8 installation media as an optional feature.

Solution

Please install .NET Framework 3.5 by following the steps stated in the link below.
