Error or Warning Message
During the installation of STAAD.Pro V8i SS6 the installation might stop with such error while installing Bentley Structural Property Catalog:
If you extract the installation file (stpst20071133en.exe) using 7-zip, you can then install each component manually. However, the installation of SPCSetup.3.1.4.2.msi file might end up with such error:
How to Avoid
If such error occurs, download the updated Bentley SPC installer (SPCSetup.3.1.4.4) from here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/structural/structural_analysis___design/m/structural_analysis_and_design_gallery/271061
Once the file is downloaded, try to install it. Once the installation is finished, install manually the remaining STAAD.Pro installtion files from the exctracted folder:
