Problem Description
I have successfully installed RAM Structural System; now I'm having problem in setting up the licenses. When I click on Tools -> Manage Licenses, I get the following message.
Explanation
Bentley.lictransmit.exe is crashing; this application sends logs from a client machine to the SELECTserver. If the logs are not sent at least once in 30 days, RAM modules will fail to run.
Solution
Look for LicenseTool.exe in the folder ..\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Bentley Shared\IEG\IEGLCS\
Run the LicenseTool.exe and activate the RAM modules.
OR
Install the License Management Tool from the link below;
You might get a security warning: click on 'More info' and select "Run anyway".
This will install License Management Tool in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Bentley Shared\LMT. You may create a short-cut for LicenseTool.exe in your desktop for future reference.
Run LicenseTool.exe and activate the RAM Modules .
Note that you will need to send the usage log at least once every 30 days through the License Management Tool. Run the LicenseTool.exe and go to Tools -> Send Logs Now.
This will ensure that RAM modules run without any interruption.
