Problem Description

During the analysis of a Tilt-up wall with out of plane seismic loading, the following warning can pop up:

[Warning] This model has loads in inactive degrees of freedom. Using a reduced number of DOF will produce inaccurate results. Review the options in the "Model DOF" tab of the Analysis dialog.

Reason

When you process a tilt-up wall in the module the program launches the same finite element analysis engine that we use for other structures. Typically, we analyze walls with a reduced degrees of freedom since they are always planar.

In some cases, particularly walls with openings, the inclusion of the out-of-plane seismic loads can trigger this instability warning.

The out of plane deflections should be checked closely, but in cases check so far the results were fine and the warning can be ignored,
