Warning Message
When opening RAM Elements, the following warning occurs:
BentleyRSS.dll is not registered.
Explanation
This message could be related to issues in the Windows registry. This may occur from an unsuccessful installation or uninstallation of RAM Elements.
Solution
- Uninstall the software from Control Panel & reinstall the software. While reinstalling, right-click on the re#####en.exe and select the option "Run an Administrator". This ensures that the files are properly registered.
OR
2. Manually register the BentleyRSS.dll is. To do that follow the steps for Windows Vista/7/8: If you are not familiar with the 'Command Prompt' please get help from your IT Administrator.
- Click the Start button.
- Type "command" in the search box... DO NOT hit ENTER yet!
- While holding CTRL-Shift on your keyboard, hit ENTER.
- You will be prompted with a permission dialog box.
- Click Yes.
- Type the following command: regsvr32 /u bentleyrss.dll.
- Hit ENTER. This will UN-REGISTER your file.
- Type the following command: regsvr32 /i bentleyrss.dll.
- Hit ENTER. This will RE-REGISTER your file.
- If it succeeds, a message should appear confirming it
- Close the command prompt window.
